Part 2 - The Biology of Reproduction

This image-based course gives the student a coherent understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system.
Upon completion, students should have the ability to confidently make more accurate TCM diagnoses.
This course explains the ovulatory function and follicular development in a very clear way. Students will learn the ovulatory process in the context of biochemical and hormonal markers. After developing an understanding of these topics, students will be armed with the tools to accurately interpret and understand your patients’ markers.
This course takes a detailed look at the thyroid function and its relation to fertility. The hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis and other factors influencing fertility are also neatly explained.

Part 3 - Female Cycles
Lecturer: Jani White.
This course gives an in-depth breakdown of the 4 menstrual cycle phases. The TCM pattern differentiation of each phase, along with their respective point prescriptions for each pattern are thoroughly discussed. To conclude, the application of BBT (Basal Body Temperature) charts is covered, explaining how to interpret and apply them to your patients.
The aim of this course is to greatly add to the knowledge of any practitioner and dramatically add to the knowledge of any serious students of Chinese gynaecology.

Part 4 - Male Reproduction
Lecturer: Jani White.
This course delves into the subject of male sexual health - it is very important to remember that about 40% of infertility cases are due to the male factor.
There is an in-depth look at pattern and syndrome differentiation, giving the student or practitioner a list of criteria to use in their history taking with their male patients.
The Western medical approach to genetic testing for chromosomal and genetic abnormalities is discussed along with the various exposures that may be detrimental to sperm development. The course concludes with the importance of STI & GUI testing.
